The original has withstood attacks from sparrowhawks and even a badger without breaking albeit I double skin the bottom area to keep out determined attempts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Supergrany from Good and Strong I bought this to fill in the gaps in a pet cage. It's good and strurdy, a bit difficult to cut but that may have been due to the fact that the wire cutters l used were old. Would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Balmaiden from easy to bend easy to break I had seen this type of mesh on other sites but reviews stated wire breaks easily. I purchased from screwfix because of the good reviews but it does seem this wire is not very resilient and has same issues. I would not use it for livestock. The wire when cutting into lengths fractures on the weld joints resulting in lengths of wire breaking away from the mesh leaving larger gaps. The wire is quite tough its the actual weld that is at fault. Shame.

Wire way

Which way does the wire run on this, so is it 13mm high and 25mm width or 25mm high and 13mm long

the 13mm and 25mm measurements are just the size of the rectangles of the wire.

Are the holes about 5 cm square.

What size are the holes in the mesh, i need holes that are about 5 cm square. I need to line the floor of my shed to prevent wildlife getting in on my allotment. Sorry i do not understand m size

The holes in this mesh are 13mm (1.3cm) we also have 25mm (2.5cm)

Is 13mm the thickness of the wire or the size of the holes?

I need a strong wire mesh to keep my 2 dogs from chewing a fence I have. I need to know the thickness of the mesh so I can decide which one to buy.

LoL, if the wire were 13mm thick you could make a gorilla cage with it, but you'd need a crane to position it. It's the hole size. I believe it is 19 gauge wire.
